I grew up in Janesville and attended St. Paul's Lutheran School through 8th grade with some other classmates like Lisa Kowal, John Zirbel, Albert Kath and Ron Zastoupil. When I got to Craig in the 10th grade I had one very special encourager--my mother. She served as the secretary to the various Principals at Craig over 43 years when she retired at 75. My two children also attended Craig and graduated in 1993 and 1996 under their grandmother's watchful eye the whole time.

I married Chris Martin in 1983. We have lived in Holland, MI from that time and thoroughly enjoy living, working and playing on the West Coast of Michigan. It truly is a resort.

Last year I published a book--Come Home Alive. It chronicles my husband's diagnosis, treatment, recovery and rehabilitation from Stage Four throat cancer caused by the HPV virus. I am on a mission to educate young people, their parents and grandparents on the need to get the HPV vaccine. It is the only vaccine that we currently have that can guard against this form of cancer that lies dormant in your body for decades, and then surfaces one day and completely takes you by surprise.

I am still working in my own company called PSG and we focus on helping teams master the art of working together.

I look forward to seeing friends I have kept in connect with and those that I have not.
